ABOUT LOVE, HEARTACHE, AND OTHER SIDE EFFECTS OF TEACHING:
WHO SAID TEACHING WAS EASY?
A school teacher who had a horrible experience as a highschooler, this collection of personal essays about the pedagogical profession is packed with practical application.
Not afraid to get into tough conversations, the author covers a wide range of topics such as classroom dynamics, the teaching lifestyle, and working through important emerging topics such as the legacy of Indigenous Residential Schools and the impact of COVID restrictions.
Through it all, Butler-Reeves calls readers of all teaching professions to keep the students the primary focus, cultivating lasting meaningful, impactful relationships with transforming power far beyond the classroom.
